Terms of sale and use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These terms apply when you use our websites or buy The Old-Time Pantry from us. If you live in the UK, the EU, Australia or anywhere else with consumer laws that give you more rights, you keep those rights. Nothing in these terms takes them away.

Who we are

Oakwise Press is run by PLACEHOLDER: legal name, PLACEHOLDER: postal address. Email: support@oakwisepress.com.

Buying

  • Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax, VAT or GST is not included; if it applies where you live, the checkout adds it and shows you the total before you pay.
  • Gumroad runs our checkout. It is the merchant of record: it sells you the book, takes the payment, collects any tax and handles the refunds we approve. Its own terms also apply to the payment: gumroad.com/terms.
  • Your order is accepted when you receive the confirmation email.
  • The ebook is a download link, sent by email as soon as you pay.
  • Joining the waiting list for the printed edition is free and does not commit you to buy anything.

Refunds and cancelling

Our refund policy explains our 60-day money-back guarantee.

Your copy of the ebook and the bonuses

When you buy, you may download, keep, read and print the ebook and the bonus PDFs for your own household's use, and print the bonus sheets as often as you like. Please do not share, sell or post the files online.

Using the book safely

The methods in the book follow research-based guidance from the USDA, the FDA, the National Center for Home Food Preservation and US university extension services. Follow every step exactly, including the amounts, jar sizes, times and temperatures. We cannot control how the methods are used, so we are not responsible for the results when the book's directions are not followed. When in doubt, throw it out. The book does not give medical advice.

Copyright

The book, its pictures, our websites and our logos are © 2026 Oakwise Press. All rights reserved.

Our websites

We work to keep our websites accurate and online, but we cannot promise they will always be free of errors or available. Links to other websites, such as the checkout, are there to help you; those websites have their own terms.

Our responsibility to you

As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of PLACEHOLDER: governing law. If you are a consumer living in the UK, the EU or Australia, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
